Hiring a harpist in Greater Orlando starts with a brief. Public Central Florida hosts already describe the work on their own pages. Read those cites, then send enough for a real person to answer. Use Request or write sales@tabaconda.com.
What to send
Use Request or write sales@tabaconda.com. A brief that can be routed usually includes:
- Occasion. Wedding, funeral or memorial, corporate, or party. Occasion hubs only list cites that name that work. See wedding, funeral, corporate, and party.
- Date. The calendar day, or a short window if the date is still moving. Open dates stay on the host.
- Venue area. Neighborhood or city in Greater Orlando. Winter Park, Lake Nona, Celebration, downtown. A street address later is useful. The area is enough to start.
- Indoor or outdoor. Gardens and lawns are not the same brief as a ballroom. Christine MacPhail’s wedding-music page notes acoustic outdoor constraints at venues such as Leu Gardens, Capen House, Bok Tower Gardens, and Lake Mary Events Center.
- Ceremony vs cocktail, or the equivalent window. One hour of prelude-and-vows is a different ask from cocktail hour, a lobby set, or a visitation. MacPhail’s wedding-music page treats ceremony and cocktail hour as separate windows. Haley Rhodeside’s events page treats wedding ceremony music as its own conversation.
- Notes. Second location, amplification, ensemble vs solo, or family requests. Do not send a fee you invented. Hosts publish their own figures when they publish them at all.
Worked examples
These are sample briefs, not bookings and not quotes. They show the fields a player needs. None of them is a first-person review.
Example A. Outdoor ceremony, then cocktail hour
Occasion: wedding. Date: a Saturday in March. Venue area: Winter Park / Leu Gardens corridor. Setting: outdoor garden ceremony, then cocktail hour at a second indoor location. Window: prelude as guests arrive, processional and recessional, then a separate cocktail hour.
Why those fields matter: orlandoharpist.com/weddingmusic.htm posts ceremony and cocktail hour as distinct packages, names Leu Gardens among venue spotlights, and flags outdoor acoustic rules at gardens including Leu Gardens. harpstringsinc.com names Casa Feliz and Cypress Grove Estate House among recommended-vendor venues. A brief that only says “wedding in Orlando” does not tell anyone which of those windows to hold.
Example B. Indoor memorial
Occasion: funeral / memorial. Date: a weekday morning, venue still being confirmed. Venue area: Greater Orlando, indoor chapel or funeral home. Notes: short service; family will pass hymn or song titles later.
Why those fields matter: verloneason.com/events lists Funerals/Memorials among special events. verloneason.com/about repeats Funerals and Memorials among events performed. treasurecoastharp.com/services.html names Funerals to Memorials, describes wakes and funeral-home background music, and lists Orlando among service areas. Haley Rhodeside’s private-events-weddings page names private events and weddings, not funerals. That cite stays on wedding and party hubs, not on funeral.
Example C. Corporate lobby, then dinner
Occasion: corporate. Date: a Thursday evening. Venue area: International Drive / convention corridor. Setting: indoor lobby arrival, then banquet. Window: 45 minutes of arrival music, then dinner.
Why those fields matter: orlandoharpist.com posts corporate events in Central Florida. verloneason.com/events lists Corporate Banquets. orlandoharpmusic.com posts convention entertainment alongside weddings. pianoharpmusic.com posts conventions, grand openings, and corporate events throughout Florida.
Why fees stay on the host page
Fees, packages, and travel add-ons stay on the cited host. Some public hosts already post their own figures; others ask you to write them. A cite card here points at that URL with an as-of date.
- Christine MacPhail’s wedding-music page posts the host’s own ceremony and cocktail-hour packages, including what that host includes in ceremony music (prelude, processional / ceremony / recessional, a short postlude) and what that host lists as no extra charge (setup, learning new songs, amplification, travel within a stated Central Florida radius, changing locations from ceremony to cocktail hour). Those numbers and inclusions live on that URL.
- Haley Rhodeside’s events page sends pricing, availability, and questions to her Contact page. There is no fee table to scrape.
- HarpStrings Inc and pianoharpmusic.com invite contact for information rather than posting a public rate card on the home page checked this session.
If a host changes a package tomorrow, the host page is the record. A cite card here only points at that URL with an as-of date.
Cite cards and public pages
A cite card is a public page: a live URL, a short note of what that page names, and an as-of date. Cards live on Cites and on the occasion hubs. Fees and names stay on the cited host page.
The Central Florida Chapter of the American Harp Society teachers directory is a public teaching list. Studio location, contact, type of harp taught. Haley Rhodeside’s lessons page is cited for Orlando lessons and as UCF professor of harp on that page. That is teaching.
You send a brief. We try to reach a local harpist we can actually contact. If someone can take it, we connect you. The path is Request.
What the public pages already name
Checked live this session (2026-08-31). If a URL had been dead, the claim would have been dropped.
- orlandoharpist.com. Christine MacPhail; weddings, receptions, destination weddings, corporate events, hotels, country clubs, and restaurants throughout Orlando.
- orlandoharpist.com/weddingmusic.htm. Ceremony vs cocktail-hour windows; venue spotlights including Leu Gardens, Casa Feliz, Cypress Grove, and other Central Florida sites; outdoor acoustic note.
- harpstringsinc.com. Catherine Way / HarpStrings Inc; Orlando and Central Florida weddings and special events; holiday events at named Orlando venues (Easter, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
- verloneason.com. Orlando Florida Harpist; weddings section on the home page.

How a request works
1. You send occasion, date, venue area, indoor/outdoor, the window (ceremony vs cocktail, lobby vs dinner, service vs visitation), and notes. 2. We try to reach a local harpist we can actually contact. 3. If someone can take it, we connect you.

If you play. Tuner and stand
If you are packing for practice, the tuner + stand kit covers a clip-on chromatic tuner and a folding stand, with a cloth in the same pouch. Nylon strings and a cover live on Gear.
Haley Rhodeside’s lessons page (cited on /cites/) is teaching. Students who need a tuner and a stand can use the kit.
